I'm telling you this because I had salad for dinner this evening and I wanted you to know how fortunate you are that you weren't sitting across the table from me.
Speaking of Revolting...
I want to give everybody a heads up about a new show I'm excited about. It's called Jamie Oliver's Food Revolution and it starts on Friday, March 26th at 9:00pm on ABC. That gives you a whole week to set up your PVR, so no excuses.
I'm joking, I don't care if you watch it or not. I have a bit of a hot and cold relationship with Jamie Oliver. On one hand, he's a bubbling fountain of practical advice and no-nonsense tips. On the other hand, he has an unsavoury tendency to come across as an obnoxious, self-righteous prick.
I'm intrigued by the concept, behind the s
how. Jamie has ventured into the belly of the beast, Huntington, West Virginia. Last year, Huntington was anointed with the title of unhealthiest city in the United States. The plan is to start America's food revolution there and have it ripple out to the rest of the country. In the show, Jamie will educate the people of Huntington about food and nutrition and teach them how to cook for themselves.I have high hopes for this show and for the plan it is trying to execute. A little food revolution could be a very good thing. I know I need to revolt against fast and processed food, before I become revolt-ing! hahaha
